Discipleship Training
A Real Process, Still Being Built
We don't have a fully mature, finished discipleship program, and we're not going to pretend otherwise. What we do have is real: a living, active process of formation, already underway, that we expect to keep developing as we learn. That's consistent with everything else about this experiment — we're not waiting until we have it all figured out to start. We're building it as we go, honestly.
Rooted in Real Teaching, Not Invented from Scratch
Much of our foundation comes from the teaching of Jamie and Donna Winship, through Identity Exchange — their courses, books, and workbooks on identity, worldview, and what it means to live from Connection rather than Separation. Right now, the Experiment Inc. team is working through their six-week study, Knowing Rediscovered, together. We expect to keep building from this material, and from others, as the discipleship track matures.
Made to Create
We start from a simple, foundational conviction: we are made in the image of a Creator, recreated for good work, and built with creativity and innovation as part of what it means to be human — not a special gift reserved for a few. Entrepreneurship, in this light, isn't a departure from faith. It's an expression of it.
No Divide Between Sacred and Secular
We reject the idea that there's church work and then there's everything else. Ministry isn't a category of activity you step into on Sundays — it's what happens anywhere people live rightly, including inside a business, a spreadsheet, a customer conversation.
Partnership with the Spirit
We're learning to actually listen for what God is inviting us into, rather than defaulting to figuring it out ourselves. This isn't a program you complete — it's a posture you stay in, the same dependence the whole vision rests on.
Identity from the Creator, Not the Marketplace
At the personal level, this is the same conviction the entire vision is built on: who we are doesn't come from what we produce or what the marketplace decides we're worth. It comes from who God made us to be.
Church, with a Capital C
Most people involved will likely still belong to a local church, and this doesn't replace that. But we also believe Experiment Inc. itself is an expression of the Church — the capital-C Church — functioning through the real work being done, not just alongside it.
The Ordinary Work of Formation
Alongside all of this, we're building in the practical, unglamorous stuff too — habits, discipline, and what it actually looks like to be excellent and professional in the workplace. Spiritual formation and practical competence aren't separate tracks. They grow together.
